Disc Bowls International is an Australian owned Company that manufactures Discs and Kitty from a Polypropylene Compound Material. We have five different colour discs available, that gives us 10 combinations of two colours (adding a bit of colour to the game), replacing the original Wooden Disc Bowls that were only 2 colours. A complete Disc Bowls set consists of – 12 discs (6 each of 2 colours), 1 Kitty, 4 Pegs and 1 Rope Court all packed in a sturdy Carry Bag.
Disc Bowls is predominantly an outdoor game played on grass, however it can be played indoors on carpet or imitation grass as well. Disc Bowls is like Lawn Bowls (using Discs instead of Bowls), the game can be played by all ages and is commonly played by people travelling in Motorhomes, Caravans and RV’s. However, in saying that we have had several enquiries and sales from Aged Care Facilities. The younger generation are also beginning to show interest in the game. There are several Disc Bowls Tournaments which are held annually throughout Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania using these new Disc Bowls.
